Dennis Louis Webb was born in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Miami, Florida. He graduated from North Miami Senior High School, and received a full football scholarship to The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. He was a game captain for the football team during his senior year and graduated with a degree in history.
Dennis has more than 30 years of trial experience, having tried more than 75 jury trials. He now limits his trial practice to complex Personal Injury cases and Labor & Employment cases.
During more than three decades of service to his clients, he has obtained more than 15 verdicts or settlements of $1,000,000.00 or greater.
Dennis is admitted to practice before all the state and federal courts in Florida, as well as the United States Supreme Court. He is a Past President of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and was recently President of the 900-member Lee County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Florida and National Employment Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Lee County Bar Association and the Florida Bar.
He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the United Stated District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
As a Prosecutor for the District Attorney in Suffolk County, New York, Mr. Scarmozzino tried over 50 misdemeanor and felony criminal trials between 1984 and 1993. He also tried over 10 murder cases as a Prosecutor in the Homicide Bureau. Upon leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Scarmozzino was employed at the law firm of Weg & Myers, P.C., in Manhattan, New York, as a civil trial attorney.
Today, Mr. Scarmozzino concentrates on personal injury and criminal law litigation. His memberships include: The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, Southwest Florida Trial Lawyers Association, American Board of Trial Advocates, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and The Lee County Bar Association. Jim is Past President of FLABOTA, a prestigious trial lawyers organization.
Jason Gunter was born in Terrell, Texas in 1965 and was raised in Lee County, Florida. Prior to attending law school, he was a Firefighter and Officer for the City of Cape Coral Fire Department. In 1993, he was named Firefighter of the Year for Lee County and Firefighter of the year for the State of Florida.
Jason opened up his own law practice in 1998 and his firm merged with Webb & Scarmozzino, P.A. in January 2005. Mr. Gunter practices exclusively in the areas of Personal Injury and Labor & Employment law.
Jason is Vice President of the Board of Directors for The Center for Independent Living. With over 250 centers throughout the United States, the centers provide information and referral services, advocacy, independent living skills training, peer counseling and support for persons with significant disabilities. They serve Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties.
Jason is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Florida Employment Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Florida Academy of Trial Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in all Florida State courts as well as Federal Courts in the Middle District of Florida and Southern District of Florida.
